Election officials report record numbers of early-voters, as Saints fans work to clear their calendar heading into the historic Super Bowl weekend.
The New Orleans Saints will be in the Super Bowl for the first time in the team's storied history. While that's exciting for Saints fans, that's a bit of a headache for election officials, since the game falls a day after election primaries that may choose a new mayor and several city council seats.
According to Secretary of State Jay Dardenne, three early-voting locations will remain open until Saturday.
"Three of our locations will be open at Algiers, in City Hall, and in the remote voting location on Chef Menteur," he said.
