What's left of the center of Tropical Storm Ida moved over Mobile Bay around 6:00am with top sustained winds of 45mph and some higher gusts. The bulk of the rain is well off to the north of the center.

Entergy reports 30 customers in Plaquemines Parish without electricity. CLECO has no outages. More than 1,000 customers lost power last night.
The LaPalco Bridge over the Harvey Canal is closed. A barge hit it overnight. Crews are checking for any structural damage.
One man is presumed dead after falling overboard from a fishing vessel in the Mississippi River in Plaquemines Parish. The 70-year-old was towing a disabled boat back to port when his boat capsized. Coast Guard says he was not wearing a life jacket. Two men with life vests were rescued from the water.
American Airlines, American Eagle and Aero Mexico delayed some early morning flights today because they held planes out of the region yesterday ahead of the storm. Check with your carrier before heading to the airport.
Crews in Grand Isle successfully shored up a levee protecting a pair of camps. Officials feared the levee, which was still under construction, would fail.
A handful of roads outside of levee protection in Eastern Orleans, Lower Plaquemines, Grand Isle and Coastal St. Bernard have some standing water. The National Weather Service says as tides drop, the north wind should blow out any remaining water.
SCHOOL CLOSURES
The only schools closed today are those in Lower Plaquemines and on Grand Isle. All other schools are open.
EVACUATIONS
About 75 people spent the night in the Belle Chasse Auditorium after voluntary evacuations for lower Plaquemines.
