The National Weather Service says Southeast Louisiana saw very limited impact from Tropical Storm Ida.
Weather Service Meteorologist Tim Erickson says Southeast Louisiana saw only "very minor coastal inundation."
He says even the areas that normally see some water in the Northshore around the lakefront escaped any real impact.
Listen to Erickson:
Erickson explains, "Those north winds kept most of that bulk down toward the south shore."
Any areas that did have flooding outside the levees and near the coast shouldn't see it last long. Erickson says as we move through the morning, "We should start to see some subsidence of those tide levels."
Callers to WWL did report a couple of inches of water on Highway 1 into Grand Isle, but said it remained passable.
