Mystery naked man identified




Slidell police say they have identified the mysterious naked man who appeared on the home security video system of a Country Club Estates resident.

"We were contacted by a family member that knew him," said Capt. Kevin Foltz of Slidell Police. "I want to say they spoke with him last night, and they're making arrangements for him to come turn himself in later on tonight."

Foltz says it appears the man was suffering from a medical condition related to his diabetes, possibly too much insulin.

"He doesn't really recall anything," Foltz says the man told the detectives. "He's been very cooperative with the detective on the phone."

Foltz said the individual is from Luling, but details of how he wound up in Slidell were unclear at the time police spoke with him.
