Lightning storm takes out power

Entergy crews are working to restore thousands of people to the power grid in New Orleans, mostly Uptown.

"The area that's kind of affected borders between the Pontchartrain Expressway to Audubon Zoo, and from the river to Claiborne Avenue," said Tom Peters, Entergy's regional manager for electrical distribution. "About 1:30 this afternoon, we had some lightning in the area that caused damage to the substation."
