Nagin: "Trust me, there is wisdom in term limits"




With Mitch Landrieu taking himself out of the race for mayor of New Orleans, many other potential candidates are now considering options and jockeying for position.

It starts to take the focus off the man who holds the office now.

Mayor Ray Nagin doesn't sound too upset about his time in office winding down.

"I am term limited. I think there is wisdom in term limits. Trust me, there is wisdom in term limits," Nagin recently said at a news conference.

Candidates have until December to decide if they want the job Nagin has held for nearly 8 years. The Secretary of State's office says qualifying to run for the mayoral election runs December 9th through the 11th.
