New Orleans police are investigating the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman.
Homicide detectives say the woman was found shot in the lobby of a Canal Street hotel about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. She later died at the hospital.
Officer Garry Flot said it was unclear how the woman got from a fourth floor room where the shooting occurred to the lobby.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
