Tigers beat Baylor in extra innings




LSU starting pitcher Anthony Ranaudo tossed a three-hitter and fanned 14 in a nine-inning no-decision before closer Matty Ott earned his 15th save with a scoreless 10th inning, as the Tigers advance to the regional final with a 3-2 win over Baylor on Saturday night at Alex Box Stadium.

Shortstop Austin Nola broke a 2-2 tie with a bases-loaded single up the middle in the top of the 10th that scored Jared Mitchell from third base.

LSU (48-16) advances to face either Baylor or Minnesota in Sunday night's regional final at 6 p.m. on 870 WWL-AM and 105.3 WWL-FM.

Baylor falls into the loser's bracket and will face Minnesota at 1 p.m.
