Bayou Boogaloo brings beaucoup good times




The 4th annual fest on St. John Bayou will have a "green" feel.

Organizers say the 2009 Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo is Louisiana's first festival to feature solar-powered stages, Bio-Diesel generators, locally grown and organic foods, a comprehensive recycling program and sustainable living and coastal restoration education.

The festival features live music stages, both acoustic and electric with a wide variety of musical genres including New Orleans roots in Blues, Jazz , Funk, Cajun, Zydeco, Latin, Brass, Country, Alternative, Hip Hop and Rock.
