Mike Conti came to WWL in July 2006 after spending three years as News and Sports Director at WLOW in Savannah, Georgia.

As a news anchor and reporter, Mike has earned several honors from the Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association, including for his investigative reporting into opinion tracking practices at the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office in 2006.  The AP has also honored Mike for his coverage of the re-opening of the Louisiana Superdome, and for a series of reports from Saints Training Camp in Jackson, MS.

A huge sports fan, Mike also serves as the play-by-play voice for New Orleans Voodoo Arena Football broadcasts on WWL's sister station, Bayou 95.7 FM, and for WWL's coverage of the Louisiana state high school football championships.

While working in Savannah, Mike won several awards from the Georgia and South Carolina Associated Press Broadcasters Associations for his coverage of landfalling hurricanes, along with spot news and sports.

Mike also worked for six years at WMAJ in State College, Pennsylvania, where he covered Penn State football and basketball. He was honored for best sportscast in Pennsylvania by the Associated Press in 2003.

Mike is a native of suburban Philadelphia and is a graduate of Penn State University. He currently lives in Old Metairie and enjoys sports, fine food, and travel.
