Monica Pierre



Monica Pierre co-hosts WWL First News with Bob DelGiorno weekdays from 6 to 10am on the Big 870, 105.3 WWL-FM and WWL.com.  It’s the most listened to show in New Orleans during that time slot.  Monica is not only a talk host, she’s an Emmy-Award winning journalist with a twenty-three year broadcasting history in New Orleans. Monica has worked in both television and radio news, and has served as host of various public affairs shows. In 2005, she was honored with the "Masters Award" by the Greater New Orleans Broadcasters Association.

Monica is author of the motivational books, Found My Soul in a Sweet Potato Patch: Living a Life of Victory and No Permanent Scars: It’s Never Too Late to Live the Life You Really Want. Monica's third book, Someday is Right Now: Taking Action Today on the Life You've Been Putting Off was released in 2007. She has also written and stars in her own one-person motivational stage show, "No Permanent Scars."
