NOPD investigating triple-slaying in New Orleans East

New Orleans Police are investigating a Saturday night triple homicide in the Seventh District.

NOPD officers responded to a call in the 6700 block of Brutus Street at 8:50 p.m.

Police say two men and a woman were found dead in the kitchen of a home at that address, between Chef Menteur Highway and Old Gentilly Road.

Police Supt. Michael Harrison said the victims were "mature in age" and appeared to have been shot to death.

Harrison said there were no signs of forced entry and investigators were still working to process evidence and any additional clues.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NOPD Homicide Division at 504-658-5300, or Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
