10,000 Jefferson residents and businesses without power


Entergy Louisiana reports that about 10,000 customers in Jefferson Parish are without power.  A spokeswoman says the outage was caused by a problem with a main breaker on a major line serving parts of Old Metairie and Old Jefferson.  Officials say it may be 1:30pm Saturday before power is restored to the affected areas.
