Accused Bourbon Street shooter Trung Le is due to appear today before a judge at New Orleans Criminal Court. He is being held without bond for one charge of first degree murder, and has a total of $4.5 million bond for nine counts of attempted first degree murder.
After being arrested in Gulfport, it didn't take long for Mississippi authorities to hand him over to Louisiana's custody, after Governor Bobby Jindal ordered his extradition.
Meanwhile, New Orleans Police are still looking for the second gunman, the person they believe Trung Le was in a gunfight with early in the morning of June 29. The shootout injured nine people and killed one woman: 21-year-old Brittany Thomas, a nursing student from Hammond.
Police urge anyone with information on the second shooter to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111. Callers do not have to leave their names or appear in court in order to be eligible for a reward.
