Baton Rouge restaurant denies report of Perrilloux disturbance

The Kona Grill in Baton Rouge is denying a report in the LSU student newspaper "the Reville" that LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux was involved at an incident last weekend at the restaurant.

The report says that Perrilloux arrived at the Kona Grill 30 minutes after the restaurant closed, and began to curse and use racial slurs after he was denied service.

However, when WWL contacted the local manager of the Kona Grill this morning, the manager "categorically" denied that any incident took place. Further questions were referred to a corporate media relations manager in Arizona; a message left on that manager's voice mail has not yet been returned.

The newspaper report says police were called, but that Perrilloux left before any cops arrived.

The report also quotes a server as saying that LSU coach Les Miles called the restaurant on Saturday to apologize for the alleged incident.

Perrilloux was not at practice Tuesday. A statement from LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette on Monday read, "Perrilloux has not fulfilled his obligations set by Les Miles in order to return to practice. He has not regained his practice privileges and will not until he fulfills his obligations set by Coach Les Miles."
