Opera in the Piazza June 13
Piazza D'Italia in the CBD

The American Italian Cultural Center presents a romantic evening of arias under the stars in the Piazza d'Italia! (corner of Tchoupitoulas and Poydras Streets) Singers will be in cooperation with the New Orleans Opera Association and the Loyola New Orleans College of Music and Arts.The evening will on Friday, June 13th from 7pm to 10pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. No outside food and beverages allowed. Ferraris will also be on display courtesy of the Louisiana Chapter, Ferrari Club of America. Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival June 14-15
Louis Armstrong Park

The eighth annual Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival moves to a new location and features a who's who of two-steppin' stars, from Buckwheat Zydeco and Rosie Ledet to BeauSoleil with special guest Jo-El Sonnier and a whole lot more. Another free festival brought to you by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. 

Flag Day with the Knights of Columbus June 14
Knights of Columbus Council Hall, 6254 Vicksburg St

The St. Dominic Knights of Columbus mark Flag Day with a ceremony that includes a flag presentation, music by the American Legion Band, and appearances by State Senator Edwin Murray, New Orleans City Councilwoman Susan Guidry, Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Eric Skrmetta and more. Local Boy and Girl Scouts and the Jesuit High School Color Guard will be on hand to present the flags. The ceremony begins at 10am.

World Naked Bike Ride June 14
Mickey Markey Park in Bywater

Intended promote cycling and to raise awareness about issues concerning humanity, the Fifth Annual World Naked Bike Ride in New Orleans is fast approaching! The ride is 'As Bare as you Dare'. You may wear as little or as much clothing/costuming/body paint as you like. The ride will be June 14 this year. Riders should assemble starting at 4:00 PM in Mickey Markey Park 700 Piety St. The ride begins and ends at Mickey Markey park.

Drenched 5K June 14
Zephyr Field in Metairie

Come on out and earn your Drench!  Get hot when you run or walk the 5k and when you’ve crossed the finish line you will be rewarded with a Drenched summer party you won’t forget. Enjoy live music, blasting fire hoses, lively dancing, water slides, cold refreshments, and foam stations.  And don’t forget the largest water balloon fight on the planet!
