Summer of sequels and spinoffs for Hollywood South

A new Jurassic Park movie started shooting this week in New Orleans.
It joins several large budget films being shot in Louisiana this summer such as Fantastic Four, Terminator 5, and Pitch Perfect 2 as Hollywood South continues to boom. NCIS: New Orleans is also in production.
Chris Stelly, executive director of Louisiana Entertainment, says 2014 is shaping up to be better than the stellar productions we had last year.
"I mean we have three huge tent pole films here right now."
Stelly says some of the largest films in the world are being produced right now in Louisiana between Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Shreveport. He says these productions are pumping in hundreds of millions of dollars into our economy.
"Just to put it into perspective, over the course of 2013 we certified over 800 million dollars in direct in-state spending," Stelly says.
Louisiana has been a pioneer in the motion picture incentive picture since we began offering tax credits of up to 40 percent of the money spent to buy, build and use movie production facilities according to Stelly.
He says in addition to that, producers love it here. So who are the big names visiting The Bayou State this summer?
"Nicholas Cage will be back and I consider him a local now he's been here so much. We'll have Jesse Eisenberg, Kristin Stewart, Reese Witherspoon and Arnold Schwarzenegger," said Stelly.
