New Orleans Police are investigating a late Friday night shooting in Gentilly that left a 15-year-old male dead and seven others injured. Officers responded to the shooting in the 6200 block of Eads Street about 11:20 p.m. Friday. Police found a 15-year-old male, four females and three other males shot. The 15-year-old male died at the hospital. Detectives learned the victims were at a graduation party when an argument ensued. They believe that at least one suspect began firing striking the victims. Four females ages from 19 to 30 were wounded, with one in surgery and three with non life threatening injuries. Three males aged 22 to 25 suffered non life threatening injuries. Detectives are investigating the incident to determine a motive and the identity of the suspect(s) in the case.
