Cops: Man drives to police station drunk

Police say a man from Gonzales is under arrest after he allegedly drove to Louisiana State Police Troop A headquarters drunk.

Investigators say it happened around 3:00am Saturday when 31-year-old Patrick Ruffner called to report he'd been involved in a hit and run on I-10 near Seigen Lane in Baton Rouge.

Police say they advised the man to come file a report.

It was at that time troopers suspected he was impaired.  They say he was above the legal limit for alcohol, so they arrested him.

Ruffner was booked on 1st offense DWI.
