Wind washers left dangling hundreds of feet off the ground

Some very scary moments for a pair of window washers in downtown New Orleans today, when a line on equipment holding them became dislodged.

"I saw a broken window probably about 20 or 30 stories up and it looks like one of the lines of the scaffolding broke," Attorney Walt Leget described.

He saw it from the ground at St. Charles and Common streets.

It turns out the men were more than 40 stories in the air when the window washing apparatus broke and left them hanging.

Police and fire crews responded and the men are now safely on the ground.
