Paul McCartney coming to New Orleans

For the first time in more than a decade, Sir Paul McCartney is coming to play a concert in New Orleans.

"Paul McCartney is coming to the Smoothie King Center on June 19," a news release says.  "Paul is returning to New Orleans for the first time since his Driving USA Tour in 2002."

It will be a stop in McCartney's Out There Tour.

"Paul performs songs spanning his entire career - as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle. The set list will also include material from Paul's most recent studio album," officials said.

They say the show also includes a lot of visual content.

"With massive screens, lasers, fireworks, unique video content and, of course, the best songs in the world, a Paul McCartney show is so much more than just an ordinary concert."

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 14th.
