Cops can't find Northshore escapee, increase reward

More than 24 hours after it started, the search for a St. Tammany escapee in Tangipahoa Parish continues, and the reward is growing.

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards says they have not found 35-year-old Christopher Ricker.

"Search efforts for Ricker still continue in the Loranger area," Spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in a news release.  "A possible sighting of Ricker was reported at approximately 11:00 p.m. last night."

So far, however that has not led to his capture.

"Currently, searches continue by air, water and on foot.  K9's and handlers have also been deployed," Panepinto said.  "Anyone having information regarding Ricker’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245.  Sheriff Edwards is also offering an additional $1,000.00 for any information leading up the Ricker’s arrest."
