Saints fans eager to see who gets signed as free agency begins

Starting this afternoon, NFL teams can pursue free agents.  Saints fans are curious to see what the team does after cutting loose a collection of well-liked players.

From linebacker Jonathan Vilma to running back Darren Sproles, Saints fans were reeling with the announced cuts.  Now that teams can start adding players, Saints fans have their wish lists.

"We do need somebody to replace Sproles," said one fan, and "I fell that we need to work on defense a little bit."

"I see them going after a cornerback and a safety," said another.  "I don't see (Malcolm) Jenkins returning."

For other fans, it's not so much about finding replacements for players who have been cut as it is about finding the right players for the game plan the coaches want to install.

"I believe they have a replacement for (receiver) Lance Moore. I believe they're going to attempt to go in another direction as far as running scheme," another fan told WWL First News.

And one more thing: "We might need to sign Jimmy Graham.  We might need to do that."

The tight end is protected by the franchise tag, but there is the outside chance a team would be willing to give up draft picks and out-pay the Saints for him.
