Police in St. John Parish are asking for help finding the killers they say robbed a LaPlace store, killed the 63-year-old owner and shot the man's 58-year-old wife.
"Investigators released video surveillance and asked for the public’s assistance in indentifying the two people," Sheriff Mike Tregre said in a news release.

The sheriff says, "Deputies responded to the 100 block of Sleepy Redwood Street in LaPlace for the report of an armed robbery of the LaPlace Feed and Supply. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found two victims that sustained gunshot wounds."
The male victim, Steven Finckbeiner, "succumbed to his injuries on the scene."
The female victim, Constance Finckbeiner, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Tregre said, "Anyone who can identify the subjects in the video is encouraged to call the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office TIPS line at 985-359-TIPS or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. Citizens with information about this incident that call Crimestoppers do not have to testify in court and may qualify for a cash reward."
The sheriff's office had been interviewing two people, but released them. The Sheriff says they did not have sufficient evidence to hold the men.
