Welsh garbage man busted for delivering drugs while on the job
Police in Welsh say a garbage man was busted for allegedly selling drugs from the trash truck while on duty. Chief Marcus Crochet says they received complaints from people in neighborhoods regarding suspicious activity on the part of 33 year old Nicholas Coble of Welsh.
"So we went out an conducted an under cover narcotics investigation and saw Mr. Coble selling drugs from the trash truck," Coble said.
Coble was arrested Monday and charged with malfeasance in office, crystal meth possession, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
"In some cases we saw that he would drive up to the houses and blow the horn and they would come out and by the drugs from him," Crochet said.
Crochet says the city employee was fired from his job yesterday and they want to send a clear message that this type of behavior is not tolerated in Welsh.
"The town is not going to tolerate its employees riding around in town vehicles and selling narcotics," said Crochet.
