How much money will it take to win the U.S. Senate race in Louisiana? Experts have said at least 12 million dollars on average.
GOP challenger Bill Cassidy is boasting about the $4.5 million in cash he now has on hand but political analyst Joshua Stockley says that's not nearly enough.
Cassidy who wants to unseat Democrat Mary Landrieu says his campaign raised more than 1 million in the fourth quarter
'' Bill Cassidy seems to be on pace to raise about 7.5 million dollars and I don't think he should be too impressed with his fundraising totals thus far,'' he said.
Stockley talked about what it's going to take for Cassidy.
''He's going to need a lot of big Republican donors nationally to come to Louisiana and spend money on him.''
Cassidy appears to be Landrieu's toughest challenger as she seeks a fourth term. The senior senator has yet to release her updated campaign finance totals. In September, she announced that she had nearly $6 million.
