Saints paint Seahawks logo on Metairie field

The New Orleans Saints began practicing today for the playoff game in Seattle Saturday.

They worked out outside in the cold on a field in Metairie that was painted with the Seahawks logo and had speakers pumping out loud crowd noise.

"We're just trying to create the exact environment; crown noise, field, everything as best we can," Coach Sean Payton explained.

Vegas says the Saints are an 8 point underdog in the game.

Drew Brees doesn't let that bother him.

"If we want to accomplish what we we've set out to accomplish this year, then we better find a way to go there and win," the QB said.

The Saints confirmed today that they have signed free agent safety Jordan Pugh, placed outside linebacker Parys Haralson on Injured Reserve and waived safety Isa Abdul-Quddus.

Payton said Pugh may not be ready to play on defense Saturday and may only contribute on special teams.

Haralson has a torn pectoral muscle and needed surgery.

The Saints also activated  linebacker Rufus Johnson from practice squad.
