Hokie likes the Saints in a close one

Our Saints Radio broadcast team chimed in on Sports Talk with Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia to give their take on the Black and Gold’s match-up with the Eagles.  Here goes!

The Pro:  For over 30 years Hokie Gajan has been associated with the New Orleans Saints as player, scout and now color analyst.  Hokie has called ten post season games since he became the Saints Radio Network Color Analyst back in 2000.  Hokie and the SRN team flew into the city of Brotherly Love Thursday night in preparation for the broadcast on Saturday.  Here’s what Hokie had to say about the match-up:
“I think the weather is #1.  It’s supposed to be cold (25 degrees) but the wind is not expected to be that big of a factor.  It’s very cold and a lot of bad weather in many parts of the North, but it looks like the weather in Philly will not be wet or windy, which is good for the Saints.”

Hokie elaborated more on what he thinks the Saints biggest challenge is on defense:  “The big thing with the Saints defense is "Shady" McCoy,” said Hokie.    “McCoy is the real deal, and he’s going to be a tough guy to try to contain.  Now, the Saints have done a pretty good job of slowing down other team’s top rushers this season.  But I think "Shady" McCoy is a different player.  He’s playing as good as any running back in the league right now.”

The pick:  “I think overall the Saints are the better team.  With that said, New Orleans has not really played a complete game on the road this season.  But I think the Saints will ink out a close one!  Hokie says New Orleans 21, Philadelphia 20!
