NOLA, Philly mayors place their playoff bets

The mayors have placed their bets on the big playoff game and as usual there is food on the line.

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter are both feeling confident about cashing in once the game is over.

Should the Saints win and Mayor Landrieu is very confident about that, then there should be a box full of goodies coming down from Philly.

''I'm going to send him a couple of cheese steaks and get his shirts nice and oily and greasy and some Philly pretzels as well,'' said Nutter.

And should the Eagles win, well then there's going to be some tail pinching and head sucking going on.

''Chief Greg Reggio is going to go up there with his team and do a crawfish boil for some of these folks from Philadelphia,'' said Landrieu.

On a more serious note, Mayor Nutter promised to clean up all the snow at the stadium and be already for the playoff clash.

The little things: The little things get you beat. A play here and a play there in the NFL really is the difference between being 0-2 and 2-0. The Saints say the harsh reality of their 0-2 start is about paying attention to the little things: "We just...

Sure, it's not the start the Saints envisioned, but as many have said in the past, you are what your record says you are in the NFL - and the Saints are 0 and 2 for a reason. "Typically a play here, a play there, you can't describe. A lot of these games...
