Cops: Disabled man attacked in Houma



Houma Police someone attacked, tased and robbed a disabled man.

Chief Todd Deplantis says officers were called to Acadian Drive and Glyynn Avenue after someone reported "a 26 year-old disabled victim being attacked."

The chief says when they go there, they found the man was robbed of his cell phone and wallet.

"The suspects also appeared to have tased the victim. The victim received moderate injuries to his face due to the incident," Duplantis said in a news release.  "The suspects left the area in a light colored Ford Explorer traveling South on Acadian Drive."

He says cops could not find the  suspects.

"Houma Police Detectives have recovered a video of  the crime in progress (above) and ask anyone with  information to call  Houma Police at  873-6371 or  Bayou Region CrimeStoppers at 1-800-743-7433," Duplantis said.
