Americans free after kidnapping from Louisiana based ship

The U.S. State Department confirms that two Americans kidnapped from a Louisiana based ship off the African coast last month have been freed.

There is no word if their release was in exchange for ransom, but paying for the freedom of hostages has become common in that part of the world.

Pirates abducted the Americans from the oilfield supply ship C-Retriever.  It happened in the Gulf of Guinea off Africa's western coast.
