Huge crowds turn out for new video game

If your coworkers or classmates didn't show up for work or school today, we may have the reason.

The hottest new video game hit store shelves at midnight.

"I'm getting 'Call of Duty: Ghosts,' " one woman in line at the video game store just before midnight told WWL First News.

A man in line to be among the first to get the new video game said, "I probably won't sleep for two days... Red Bulls and many hours (of playing)."

Several gamers admitted they were skipping school or calling in sick to work.

"Everyone takes off, it's a big party," one young man explained.

Several said they could not imagine waiting even until morning to get the game.

"It's just cool."

"I need to be able to beat everybody else."

"You gotta start getting levels up."

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is the 10th video game in the franchise.

The last "Call of Duty" reached the one billion dollar mark in worldwide sales in just 15 days.
