Police say two men, a father and son, from Terrebonne Parish have been sexually abusing a disabled girl since she was eight years old.
"TPSO received information from Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office detectives that a 14 year old female reported that she had been repeatedly sexually abused by her step-father in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes," Captain Dawn Foret said in a news release. "The victim reported that she was forced into sexual intercourse with her step-father on multiple occasions over a six year period."
She says they found evidence to arrest the "mentally challenged" child's step-father.
"The investigation led to the arrest of Russell Leblanc Jr. 29 of 107 Prosperity Street in Chauvin," according to Foret.
The molestation allegedly happened in both Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes, so he is charged in each of the jurisdictions.
"Russell Leblanc Jr.'s father, Russell Leblanc Sr., 65, was also arrested by TPSO detectives for a warrant from LPSO for aggravated incest pertaining to the same victim," Foret said.
