Cold front will drop temps and bring rain
The unusually warm and muggy October weather will start moving out later this week.
WWL TV Meteorologist Laura Buchtel says a cold front is coming.
"The front will start moving our way tomorrow, but it's not actually going to reach us until Thursday," she forecasts. "Highs Thursday only 80."
She expects the system to stall over Southeast Louisiana for the weekend.
"Friday and Saturday we'll have rain chances around."
When the front finally moves out, much cooler air will filter into the region.
"Highs Monday, 74 and sunshine," Buchtel predicts. "Lows Monday will be in the 50's on both sides of the lake."
