Saints fans looking forward to Pats game

Another week, another test for your New Orleans Saints.  They're on the road again, at New England this time. Despite the fearsome reputation of the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady combo, Saints fans expect their boys to get it done.

"Saints are going to win this weekend. They have too much offense for New England," one fan said.  "New England's not good enough right now."

"Yeah, I got my fingers crossed," another told WWL First News.

It won't be the "battle of unbeatens" it was shaping up to be prior to last week, but the Saints are 5-0 and the Patriots are 4-1.  That means a marquee matchup of two of the NFL's best.

"Brady and Brees playing...against each other? That's like the Super Bowl all over," one fan enthused.

Every time Drew Brees has gone up against the Brady/Belichick Patriots, it's Brees who has come out on top, defeating them twice as a San Diego Charger and once since joining the Saints.

New England is favored by most odds makers, but by less than a field goal. Kickoff is Sunday at 3:25 p.m. Catch all the action here on your station for the Saints, The Big 870, WWL, 105.3 WWL-FM and here on WWL.com.

Kristian: Breaking down the Saints O-line
Protection was an issue last season for the New Orleans Saints offensive line. After Terron Armstead got his first start in week 16 against the Panthers, I thought the big guys up front played much better down the stretch, creating running lanes for the...
