Cops looking for St. Tammany home invaders

The St. Tammany Sheriff's office is searching for three suspects wanted for home invasion Wednesday morning.
Department Spokesman George Bonnett Jr. says it happened at about 9:00 o' clock this morning at a home on Eden St. in the Abita Nursery subdivision.
Police say the three men, two black males and one white male, "were looking for money they believed was left in the home by the residents’ son, who was recently arrested and is currently in jail."
According to investigators, "When the three men discovered the son had not lived at the Eden street residence prior to his arrest and there was no money there, they pistol whipped the couple."
Bonnett says when the home's alarm system kicked on, the suspects fled in an older-model dark-colored SUV parked nearby.
According to Bonett, the homeowners were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this incident to call 911 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
