Video: Man beats, kidnaps woman at New Orleans hotel
The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a man seen on video beating a woman and forcing her into a car before driving off.
Police say the incident happened Friday morning around 5:15 at a hotel in the 300 block of Loyola Avenue and was captured by a nearby surveillance camera.

On the surveillance video, the man is seen entering the lobby, knocking down the woman, forcibly dragging her outside, and then beating her.
The man then forces her into a vehicle before driving off.
Police say another woman seen on the video appears to know the suspect, though their relationship is unclear.
A six-year-old child believed to be related to one or more of the people in the video was left behind in a hotel room booked by one of the adults on the video, according to the NOPD.
An NOPD spokesman says officers have been in contact with a female involved in the incident
Police spokesman Frank Robertson says officers had been in contact with a female who was involved in the incident but that they refused to return to the hotel to get the child or speak with officers.
The child was placed in protective custody, police said.
