According to a new survey by ticketcity.com, LSU ranks No. 1 in the SEC for college football's most engaged fans and No. 2 in the nation.
Spokeswoman Meredith Owen says they worked with stats for the study that measured fan activity both online and offline, "LSU really grabs the top spot on the list, largely due to their really robust online fan community."
Owen also says LSU has twice as many likes on Facebook as Alabama which made No. 3 on the overall list right behind the Tigers.
LSU has the most Twitter followers in the SEC and third highest overall Facebook likes and Facebook "talking about" metrics.
Owen also says the Tiger Athletics should be praised for how active they are online, "When the teams actually utilize their official social media pages to engage fans, it's a great way to make them excited about also engaging offline and actually showing up at games."
