A 2-year-old child in Maurepas is in critical condition after getting his head caught in a car window on Wednesday. Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 medical emergency call involving the unconscious 2-year-old. The young boy reportedly was in a parked automobile with a safety restraint on which he managed to remove. Initial reports are that the child began to operate the automatic window buttons and ended up raising the window onto his head causing him to lose consciousness. He was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge and is listed in critical condition at this time. No arrests have been made and Livingston Parish deputies continue to investigate the incident.
