New Orleans Cops say gunfire rang out in a downtown hotel room today.
One man was critically wounded, and a woman was shot in the foot.
"About 9:00am, a 37-year-old male was involved in an argument with a 29-year old male inside of an room at which time the 29 year-old produced a gun and shot the 37-year-old multiple times. Also during the shooting, the 37-year old shot the 29-year-old in the foot," Officer Garry Flot said in a news release. "The 29-year-old and a female fled the hotel and were apprehended."
Investigators found a gun and drugs in the room at the Wyndham on Barrone.
Flot says no one in the room was from New Orleans.
"The people involved are believed to be from New York and Florida," he said. "The 37-year-old was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition and the 29-year-old is listed in good condition."
