The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Barry has formed in the Gulf of Mexico with top winds of 40 miles per hour.

Barry is expected to hit central Mexico tomorrow and is no threat to the United States.

The Hurricane Center released a statement saying, "Data from an air force reconnaissance aircraft indicate that Tropical Depression two has strengthened...and is now Tropical Storm Barry...the second tropical storm of the 2013 hurricane season."
