A 33-year-old Kenner man has been arrested after police found 32 marijuana plants, 18 guns, body armor, gas masks, and ammunition at his residence in the 100 block of Milsaps Place.
Responding to an anonymous tip, police arrested David Hart after detectives searched the residence and found the plants and guns.
The weaponry included four assault rifles, military grade body armor and gas masks, in addition to ammunition.
Kenner Police says they also recovered an improvised ammunition handbook and 145 grams of marijuana.
Hart was charged with manufacturing a Schedule 1 controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of a Schedule 1 controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of body armor and illegal possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.
Hart has already served time for assault by drive by shooting, according to KPD.
Hart remained in custody and had no bond set.
