The Orleans Parish Coroner today announced the remains found in the car Terrilyn Monette were belonged to the missing school teacher.
The family is standing strong despite the sad ending to the months-long ordeal. Saturday afternoon, crews pulled Monette's Honda Accord out of Bayou St. John.
Speaking this morning with WWL's Tommy Tucker, Terrilyn's Mother, Toni Enclade, wanted to thank all of the volunteers who have helped in the 3 month long search, including divers, tow operators, police and so many more.
''I just can't even begin to imagine all the people Terrilyn has touched over the past 3 months," she said.
Enclade says there's been no firm timetable on a memorial service, but she knows it will be a large crowd who will want to attend.
"We'd like to make sure that everyone who would like to pay their final respects, that they are able to do so.''
The family is hoping to get through these tough days and hopefully find some sense of closure.
