Teens arrested for vandalizing Covington school

Covington Police Capt. Jack West says two teenagers have been arrested for vandalizing property at St. Paul's Catholic High School in April.

17-year-old Owen Edwards (left) of Folsom and 18-year-old Carter Hall (right) of Covington were arrested Thursday for criminal damage to property over $500, which is a felony.

On April 29, according to police, the vandals covered the front half of the school, including religious statues and the school sanctuary, with extensive and offensive graffiti.

Officers with the Covington Police Department tell WWL-TV the teens admitted to the vandalism, saying they were intoxicated at a party and decided to spray-paint the school.

Police say Crimestoppers was able to provide some of the information needed to make the arrest.
