Here comes the rain again

Another round of wet weather is heading for the Metro area and Southeast Louisiana.  Heavy rains are expected to develop across the area on Friday and continue through Saturday, dropping up to several inches on still-soggy grounds.

The flash flood watch covers both sides of the lake except for coastal areas.

WWL-TV Chief Metorologist Carl Arredando says we have a chance of rain starting with the Friday morning commute, then heavier rain and thunderstorms moving in later in the morning through the afternoon.

The National Weather service says almost all of Southeast Louisiana is under a flash flood watch  from Friday morning through late Saturday night.  Forecasters say two to four inches of rain are possible across the area.

The chance of rain will drop to 20-30% for Mother’s Day on Sunday.
