WWL-TV Chief Meteorologist Carl Arredando says incoming cold front will bring a slight chance of severe weather across all of Southeast Louisiana between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
"We're looking at the possibility of damaging hail, two to three inches of rain, and the possibility of an isolated tornado with this line of weather," Arredando said.
He says the showers should clear out by 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., leading to less humid and rain-free conditions for Friday and Saturday.
A 50% chance of rain returns to the forecast on Sunday.
