The Terrebonne Parish Council will consider an ordinance tonight that would fine anyone with pants that sag below the waist. Councilman John Navy said too many residents have complained to him and are demanding action. ''They're concerned about young children in the presence of this and in public facilities where they go and dress like this,'' Navy told WWL First News. Navy said they are copying an ordinance already working well in Shreveport. ''We're trying to put this in place where would hopefully curb some of this behavior and exposure,'' said Navy. Nearby, Lafourche Parish already has an ordinance that makes it illegal for anyone to reveal underwear or to dress in a way that is deemed "unbecoming of his or her sex.'' According to Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office records, 45 people have been ticketed in the law's five-year existence.
