Will the decorative lights stay lit on the Crescent City Connection? The Regional Planning Commission meets today to decide that issue and others related to the bridge.
With tolls stopped at least until a new election in May, the state is scaling back street cleaning, litter control, grass cutting and other services to the same level as other bridges.
The commission has to decide how to spend accumulated toll money still in the bank or identify other sources of paying for any increased level of services and to keep the decorative lights lit.
A judge has ordered a new election to determine if the tolls will resume for 20 more years. The court threw out the previous voting results because hundreds of people got ballots that did not include the issue.
