Jefferson Parish Councilman Chris Roberts plans to propose that the parish return red light camera fines to drivers who paid tickets. Roberts says he'll make the suggestion at next week's council meeting. The move comes amid reports of alleged bribe taking in Chicago by the camera company, Redflex. A probe of Redflex traffic systems in Chicago found evidence of bribery, with more than $2 million allegedly paid to a Chicago official. The president and two other top officials for Redflex announced last Saturday that they were retiring. Jefferson Parish pulled its contract with Redflex in 2010 amid the allegations.
