Hornets lose Smith for season, Davis out again tonight

The Hornets will be without forward Jason Smith for the rest of the season.
The team announced today that Smith will have surgery next week to repair a torn muscle in his right shoulder.
Smith appeared in 51 games for the Hornets this season, averaging 8.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 17:10 minutes per game. He is currently ranked third on the team with a 0.490 field goal percentage (167-for-341).
Also, a Hornets spokesman says forward Anthony Davis will be out for tonight's game against the Pistons due to an ongoing injury. His return status is listed as "day to day."
